When it comes to printing...not all artwork is created equal...

The process

When you first contact us for a project, one of the first things we will ask you about is your artwork. If you have not yet created your artwork or if you already have an image but you are not sure if it is print ready, there is no need to panic. We will be happy to provide you a free evaluation of your art. We will analyze whether your file is print ready or not. If your image needs a tweak or two, we will let you know what needs to be done to make it print ready.

Image files accepted:

* Vector images - Vector images are "cartoon like", and could be simple text based designs or complicated drawings. The vector image file formats that we accept are .ai .eps or .svg. Vector images are the preferred type of art image for many printers as vector images can be re-sized either bigger or smaller without loss of image quality. All text/type should be outlined prior to sending us the file.
* Raster images - Raster images are usually photographs or photo like images. We accept .tiff, .psd, .png or .jpg raster image files. Raster images must have a resolution of 300 dpi/ppi and the image must be sent to us in the actual size to be printed. In addition, .psd or .png files with "transparency" backgrounds are preferred as we can avoid printing the white background box that are included in some .jpg files. If your .jpg is a photo and you intend to print everything within the 4 corners of the .jpg, the image is most likely a good candidate for printing. Raster images print well but only if they are high resolution, unwanted backgrounds are removed and are the correct size.

Colors

The colors you see on your computer's monitor may not look the same when printed on a shirt. To make it even more difficult, the type and color of the shirt itself can greatly impact the color of a print. We have a good eye when it comes to colors and can usually make quick changes to improve print quality. If color matching is required, we are happy to accommodate and our usual Art Services fee will apply.

Don't want to deal with the hassle of creating or fixing your art? Don't care or even want to know what a vector image is? No worries...let our in-house art department create or work with your existing art files. We will make fast work of anything you need done to make your design print ready. We charge a reasonable fee of $35 per hour. Most changes can be made in 1 hour.
